What To Expect

In the comfort of the family veterinarian’s office and with the cooperation of the referring veterinarian, Dr. Maran will perform a complete cardiac examination of the pet, including an echocardiogram, a systemic blood pressure and diagnostic digital 6-lead ECG.  These tests will allow a detailed evaluation of the anatomy and function of the patient’s heart.  Appropriate diagnostics or therapy will then be advised for the pet based on specific needs or concerns.

Owners are welcome to be present during the evaluation. However, due to the nature of a mobile practice, precise arrival times can occasionally be difficult to predict.

It may be more convenient to schedule a ‘drop-off’ appointment for the evaluation. All diagnostic tests and recommendations, as well as therapeutic and monitoring plans will be discussed thoroughly with the referring veterinarian.
