+ Digital Radiography

Northwest Veterinary Imaging is equipped to receive digital radiographs for interpretation. We currently use the DVMInsight service to receive films and distribute reports.

If you are interested in submitting films to Northwest Veterinary Imaging, please call us and we are happy help facilitate the set-up process at no charge to your hospital.

+ X-Ray Film

We receive hard copy films at the office Monday-Friday, typically via courier. If possible, we would prefer that patient and case information be submitted through our Timeless system below.  Please print out the consult form on Timeless and put it in the envelope with the films to ensure that the films are correctly identified.

If you are unable to submit the information online, please fill out and include the following form in the envelope with the radiographs, along with copies of any pertinent records. For a STAT read, either the pet owner or a staff member is welcome to bring the films directly to the office, but please call ahead to ensure radiologist availability.

+ Mobile Ultrasound

Northwest Veterinary Imaging provides mobile ultrasound services for both general and specialty practices in the greater Puget Sound region. Mobile ultrasound appointments should be scheduled by the referring veterinarian by calling the office at 425-771-8100. In order to expedite reports, we would prefer that patient and case information be entered by your office prior to the appointment on our Timeless system.

If you are unable to enter the information online, please fill out the following form prior to the appointment and fax it to us at 425-774-2232. Please include copies of any pertinent laboratory data. IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • While we will do our best to provide an approximate window, we are not able to guarantee a specific time of arrival.
  • Please make sure that patients are fasted for 8 hours prior to the ultrasound examination. Patients may have free access to water.
  • If possible, please shave the patient prior to our arrival.
  • If you anticipate that sedation may be required, please contact our office prior to the appointment so that we can ensure coordination of patient care. Anesthesia will be required for all ultrasound guided tru-cut biopsies.
  • Coagulation profiles are necessary for all patients requiring a liver biopsy. If you have any questions regarding other biopsy procedures, please feel free to call us anytime.

+ Outpatient Ultrasound

We perform outpatient ultrasounds at our Mountlake Terrace office. Please have the clients call us directly at 425-771-8100 to set up the appointment. In order to expedite reports, we would prefer that patient and case information be entered by your office prior to the appointment on our Timeless system.

If you are unable to enter the information online, please fill out the following form prior to the appointment and fax it to us at 425-774-2232.  Please include copies of any pertinent laboratory data. Radiographs related to the case can be couriered to our office or sent with the owner.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Please let your clients know that patients needs to be fasted prior for eight hours prior to the appointment.  Patients may have free access to water.
  • If you anticipate that sedation may be required, please contact our office prior to the appointment.
  • Anesthesia is required for all ultrasound-guided biopsies.  Owners are welcome to wait at our office for the duration of the procedure.
  • Coagulation profiles are necessary for all patients requiring a liver biopsy. Please submit these results to our office prior to the appointment.  If you have any questions regarding other biopsy procedures, please feel free to call us anytime.

We perform outpatient CT studies at our Mountlake Terrace office. Referring vets or owners are welcome to call the office at (425) 771-8100 to set up an appointment . In order to expedite reports, we would prefer that patient and case information be entered by your office prior to the appointment on our Timeless system.

  • Please advise owners that patients will need to be anesthetized to perform the study.  Owners are welcome to wait at our office for the duration of the procedure.
  • If you anticipate that a CT-guided biopsy may be indicated, please call us prior to the appointment.
+ CT/MRI Study Review

Northwest Veterinary Imaging is equipped to receive digital CT and MRI images for interpretation.  We currently use the DVMInsight service to receive images and distribute reports, but can also accept discs that are couriered to our office.
