Steve is a 1998 University of Pennsylvania graduate.  With his wife and veterinary school classmate, Julie Irwin, VMD, he owned and practiced at the Animal Emergency Center in Pennsylvania for over seven years.  He sold the practice to pursue a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Tennessee. He completed his residency and became board-certified in Diagnostic Imaging in 2011.

Steve's background in both general and emergency practice allows him to work closely with general practitioners to help correlate findings with the overall clinical picture. In his free time, Steve acts as a private taxi service for three children and enjoys biking as well as playing and watching soccer.

Rebecca Manley, DVM DACVR

Rebecca is a 2005 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph.  After spending two years in general practice, she returned to academia to complete a small animal internship, following by a Diagnostic Imaging internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College. She then attended the residency program at the University of Tennessee CVM, during which she spent two years working alongside Dr. Pokorny.  

Dr. Manley completed her residency in 2012 and attained Board Certification that same year.  She worked as a staff radiologist at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston for four years before joining NWVI, bringing a wealth of experience and her warm Canadian personality to the practice.
Jaime Sage, MS, DVM DACVR 

Jaime received her veterinary training at Texas A&M University, and completed her residency at The Ohio State University in 2005. She passed radiology boards that same year, and worked with VDIC and IDEXX Laboratories from 2005 to 2015. Dr. Sage now works full time with MR Vets, PC reading MR studies but also enjoys regular collaboration on a variety of cases with Northwest Veterinary Imaging.

Maria Moody, DVM

Dr. Moody was born and raised in Western Washington.  She is a 1998 graduate of WSU CVM and worked as an associate in a busy Seattle practice for nine years before transitioning to diagnostic imaging.  She has been performing CT scans and ultrasound studies with our radiologists since 2006, supervising all of the anesthetic procedures and assisting with case management. In her free time, Maria volunteers at her daughter’s school and enjoys reading and traveling with her family.

Julie received her B.A. from Cornell University, majoring in mathematics and biology. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1998. She worked in general practice and also owned an emergency practice with classmate and husband, Steve Pokorny, before relocating to the Seattle area. She currently works part-time as a general practitioner, full-time as the mother of three and helps with the managerial aspects of NWVI. She is an avid early morning rower and in her ‘free time’ also enjoys sailing, cross-country skiing and traveling.

Lynn Jansheski, LVT, Practice Manager

Lynn earned a BA in Visual Arts from the  University of Florida in 1998 and a BS in Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College in 2009. She has been working as an LVT since 2006, spending two years in day practice and ten years in specialty/ER hospitals. She has spent the last two years working in the human biotech industry with the brainiacs who will one day cure cancer.  Lynn and her husband, Jay spend the majority of their leisure time on DIY house projects but also enjoy getting out to hike and kayak.  They have a 15-year-old hound mutt, Cordy who enjoys sleeping and eating (and maybe a ferry ride).

Megan Vogler, Office Manager

Megan has worked as a Veterinary Assistant for over 10 years.  She was born and raised in Washington state.  She attended Pima Medical Institute in Seattle and received her Associate of Art certification in 2005.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and watching football.  Megan joined our team in 2014 and works mainly in the office, helping with administration and scheduling.


Rachel Rowe, Veterinary Assistant

Rachel has volunteered at several different animal shelters in the Seattle area since 2008. Through this volunteering she realized that she wanted to make working with animals her new career. She has worked as a veterinary assistant since 2012. When she is not in the office or out on the road with the radiologists, Rachel enjoys hiking, seeing live music and snuggling her fur babies, kitty Gizmo and rabbit Mozzarella. 

Ava Benami, Veterinary Assistant

Ava has been in the veterinary field since 2001 assisting in hospitals in Virginia, helping out with Spay and Neuter clinics, and raising orphan kittens. Originally born in Edmonds, she moved back to the Seattle area with her partner Alex in 2013 to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. She donates her time to various wildlife causes including rehabilitation and assisting in scientific research as a certified bird-bander. In her remaining free time she enjoys hiking, bird-watching, taking lessons on the flying trapeze, and hanging out at home with Alex and their 3 kitties Dharma, Ellie and Lego.
